Union steel minister Ram Chandra Prasad Singh on Friday mentioned wastes and by-goods generated from mining and metal sectors can be properly applied in manufacturing of cement, street development and agriculture.

Singh claimed that there are huge alternatives of utilisation of waste produced during mining, metal production process and finish of daily life merchandise, in accordance to a steel ministry assertion.

“At the assembly of the Parliamentary Consultative Committee for Ministry of Metal, the minister claimed a variety of wastes, scrap and by-goods generated all through mining and steel building can be correctly applied for earning metal and other applications like cement manufacture, street building, agriculture etc,” the ministry claimed.

The meeting themed ‘Roadmap for Circular Economy in Metal Sector’ was held in Tirupati.

Singh, who is the chairman of the committee, urged the stakeholders to just take definitive actions toward selling a circular economy and “waste to prosperity” in the metal sector.

In accordance to the assertion, members of the committee also emphasised on the have to have to develop consciousness and maximize the use of metal, especially in the rural parts.
