WEST PALM Seaside — Seven Palm Beach County sheriff’s deputies ended up injured Friday when a person they had been arresting little bit and spat on them at an intersection in suburban West Palm Beach.
The Maryland guy, whose car or truck was blocking traffic in the intersection at Haverhill Road and Loring Push, attacked the deputies just after they experimented with to subdue him with rubber bullets, the sheriff’s workplace explained.
The incident happened one block south of Egret Lake Elementary University.
Jerome Dawkins, 35, reportedly parked his vehicle at the intersection in unincorporated West Palm Seashore at about 11:54 a.m. and would not let southbound targeted traffic to pass. When police arrived, Dawkins drove his 2020 Nissan Altima into a deputy’s vehicle, the sheriff’s business stated.
