A program website traffic halt in a residential neighborhood in San Diego earlier this month turned up a few of unusual objects, most notably a little grenade launcher, San Diego police claimed Wednesday.
In a Twitter submit, the office shared pics of the finds produced in the 11 p.m. Oct. 15 targeted traffic prevent in Del Cerro. A look for of the motor vehicle also turned up a stun gun that appeared like a cellphone, and a loaded handgun.
Officers stopped the car for expired tags, Sgt. Matthew Botkin mentioned. The driver experienced a suspended license. The proprietor of the vehicle was in the passenger seat.
Officers found a loaded handgun in the glove box, Botkin stated. In a backpack in the entrance seat, they observed an M203 grenade launcher, which is illegal in California. The grenade launcher can be connected to a rifle and can shoot 40 mm rounds.
